Hawaiian Butter Mochi is a buttery and chewy coconut dessert made with glutinous rice flour. It is a very popular treat in Hawaii that needs to make its way over to the mainland. Once you have a bite, you won’t be able to resist another.
This recipe for mochi butter is a small taste of the house. It is a favorite snack in the Hawaiian Islands and is full of delicious butter and coconut flavors.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 (16oz) box Mochiko Flour (Glutinous Rice Flour)
- 1 to 1 1/2 sticks of butter (1/2 to 3/4 Cups)
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 12 oz. Coconut Milk
- 2 C 2% Milk
- 3 C Sugar
- 4 Eggs
INSTRUCTIONS
- First, Soften butter and mix with sugar. Slowly add 1/4 of Mochiko flour, baking powder, vanilla and 2 eggs. Add another quarter and 2 eggs and coconut milk. Rotate with 1/4 1/2 minutes of milk until the flour and milk have been added and mixed until smooth.
- Then, Pour in a pan of 9 × 13 and cook for 1 hour at 350 ° F.
- Allow to cool completely. Cut with a plastic knife or wet your knife between cuts.
